The ambassador should cast like a charm!! Some of the best surffisherman use only them! I grew up using my fathers snagging bunker in the sound as a kid and they are the best....you can adjust the tension so you wont even need to thumb the reel and zing it way out there. The way it sounds it may be time for you to tune your reels...i do it once a year just to make sure i have no mishaps it will only cause less errors while fishing, plus its fun. Also do you have different pound line on each reel they will cast different, you may want to check into that too. Best of Luck to ya!
