Thats the webcam for the Shinne**** Inlet and for a few weeks i look at it on occasion and see cranes and dirt movers and now i look at it today and there moving all the rocks...

maybe im dumb or something but what are they doing out there??

Jetty project

Some sort of jetty reconstruction,or sometin like that.Alls I know that its been goin on for along time,I was there last spring,summer & fall & it was going on.Theres signs & stuff but It's been awhile & I forgot what they said.I know some of the others here now the facts for sure.Let em chime in.

from looking at it today it looks like they are rearraning the rocks or making it wider or something??

Mystery of construction activity at Shinne**** (west jetty)

Here is an excerpt from some Army Corp of Engineers material that I "dredged" up on the net. (couldn't find a date of the communication):
Since the construction of the federal navigation project, a number of events have again focused interest on the Shinne**** Inlet area. The north end of the west jetty, and its bayside revetment, which were not repaired during the large construction in the early 1990's, have undergone some deterioration of their cross-sections. However, they are not in critical condition...A small portion of the seaward trunk of the west jetty, which had not been repaired in the original work, has lost some armor stone and has slumped from the original crest elevation.
