My newly purchased 1986 Proline has enough chunks out of it that I want to repair them. Buddy of mine said the chips all stop at the glass and would only need gelcoat to repair them. He said he remembered reading about a site that is you give them the year make and model of your boat they could sell you gelcoat that aould match teh original??? I know my boat is 22 some odd years old but thats a better place to start then a bright white that doesn;'t match at all. Anyone know what site my friend was talking about or another that may have a close color to what my hull has?. My gelcoat is more tan/beige than it is white.

I've used minicraft before and they are pretty good. You can get gel cote in paste form or in areosol cans.

Dyna Grout in Bay Shore will macth any chip you bring in exactly, w/ no need to worry about the effects of age.
