Was up MA last May and I saw someone using a jig which was silver / chrome on two sides and blue on the third. He was doing quite well without any differance in jiging style. The jig looked close to cross between a regular diamond and a vike. Has anyone seen that type of jig / color combination ?

Did anybody have success with the jig ?
It is not my favorite jig as I never had good action with the jig.
Maybe it is because I don't use it for long to get my confidence.

I've never used them much myself - but I fished next to Smelter and his Tall Friend (Jonesy, if I recall correctly) and Jonesy was killing fish on it on one of the Noreast trips with Rocky a couple of years ago

Me neither. I don't feel that I'm talented enough to catch fish on that thing. In my mind, it stands just one small rung lower than the Cod Bomb on the improbable fishing device ladder.

This must be it. Funny name not withstandintg, the 10oz one looks kinda sexy. The bottom loop will probably get hammered to death on the rocks in short order. Anybody wants to go halfsies? Willy?

Too late, I already bought them. You'll get your share when I see you next time. It looks like a really good jig for the sand eel bonanza on Stellwagen, and might be good for tuna, too.

I ordered the 10s and 12s. The 10s are a little non-typical and would classify the 12s as definite non-typical. $ was right and the bottom loop looks somewhat heavier than a lot of my current stuff. Depends on the area you 're fishing. With a name like BERZERKO imprinted on the jig it got me excited ! Bought 4 bluefish lures 20 + yrs. ago called Invaders. Can 't remember the manufacturer but haven 't seen them anywhere. Caught a mess of tuna on them and have just one left, don 't even want to use it as afraid I will lose it!
Thinking about highlighting the Berzerko in fluorescent chartruese paint, custom Berzerko jigs !

Nice. A custom rod and now a custom jig for 4lb codfish in 90 feet of water;).

Speak for yourself - I caught a couple of ten pounders there last May. ;)

P.S. Berzerko and Invader? It must have been an interesting business strategy meeting that led to a tackle manufacturing company branding their products after porn star stage names. I wonder if AVA has a Ron Jeremy in the works?

Berzerko and Invader???????? What kind of porn does FW watch?
Gay Gladiator?

On the otherhand if you plug "FishWisher" into the Porn Star Name Generator you find out his real name is Sergeant Nekkid, D.D.S."

Ava was the premier maker of diamond jigs at one time, at least here on LI where we used them for bass and blues. Them, and Bridgport, which would lose its chrome after one fish.
