Bait fishing...single hooks. No reason to use trebles. I like gamakatsu octopus in 6/0 to 8/0 or sproats in 5/0 to 7/0. The gamas are very sharp right out of the package but pricey. The sproats are easy to sharpen to a needle point and less expensive. Snell your own on 50# leader material to save even more $$.
I agree with the 6/0 octopus hooks, Hayabusa octopus hooks are what i use for bait fishing and are very good. For jigs, I always leave the treble on the jig.
hope this helps,
willy
allthe above sound good to me . personally I like the 92533Bl Mustad they are not sharp out of the box but they are much stronger then the gama's and owners. Also a **** of a lot cheaper a box of 100 is a round 14 bucks.
