Heres a little info I found out about my chum chucker. Last year it needed to be over hauled. I brought it back to the owners which where real nice about it. I think I paid 80 buck just for the motor. That did not include the labor. Well This year I decided to over haul the whole thing. I got all the parts right threw msc. Small motor 14.72. She is now good as new. We now have 2 spare motors on board just in case. It seems like every trip we do some king of surgerry on the dam thing. I hope this helps you guys out. Tight lines.

I glued a 1/16" thick piece of rubber on the outside of the motor box with an undersized hole for the conveyor shaft to push through. I lube this up with grease and this keeps moisture out of the box. I also silicone caulked the motor box together including the bolts. I also sprayed the motor and wiring with corrosion block grease. We have not needed to replace a motor yet.

I will take some photos of my rod holder mount with cutting board it works really well.
