A girl gave me a jig from Japan for Christmas called the drift tune 200 gram. It looks like a sweet jig and I cant wait to get some tuna on it. Has anyone had any luck with it?? It has a sweet finish and looks quite durable. A picture can be found:

You got nice looking jigs for tuna. I am going to get some to try in 2008. I hope I land my last yellowfin tuna on jigs this year when I fish on the Gulf Eagle out of Port Aransas, Texas this weekend.

Sorry I left for Sicily and havent been able to respond. Im happy for the gift and cant wait to use it. The girl has brought me other jigs in the past and Im sure I can find a way to thank her.

Some good news is that there are bluefin here and I might get a chance to catch some near a platform where I am. Hopefully Ill try to jig or troll something up as my cousins friend has a boat. He told me they believe they hooked into a fish that might have been 100kg so we ll see. I wish he told me as I could have brough some tackle because the tackle available hear is limited. Im going tomorrow if the weather holds so Ill report back.
