I listen to the show almost every day. I like having the two of them together. I can handle Mike alone, but not Chris. But when the two of them are together the show is at it's best. This is not a good thing.

I agree! Together its listenable and I tune in and out most days as I'm traveling about.Depends on what they are talking about.
When either is alone I can't listen to long as both bore me...Mad Dog is annoying and Francesa is pompous. Both have sports knowledge that is incredible!
Russo heading to wherever he's going is a bad move. These guys are great together and should stay together.
Does anyone listen to talk radio on these newer sattelite stations?
Howard dropped off the radar screen and Mad Dog will also.
I realize things change and relationships end. These two have had a dislike for one another early then seemed to enjoy one another especially as both got married and had children... from what I read the relationship has again turned rocky.

I agree with HC...Boomer and Carlton in the AM is fun to listen to
Boomer is a class act and that Carlton guy is wacky but fun.

Agreed, he was terrible solo. Just not a real smart person, even if he knew sports he just has no general knowledge. But for a dumb guy, he has made a ton of money. Will probably end up on sattelite somewhere.

I'm another one that can listen to them together, but separatly the annoy the **** out of me. Francesa is an egomaniac, and his total blind allegiance to The Yankees and total dismissal of all other NY Sports Teams drives me nuts. Dog can drive you up a wall with his talk of The SF Giants, Tennis and Springsteen. Together though, they had a system of checks and balances, in which they seemed to keep the other from rambling off on tangents that no one cared to hear about. Honestly, the best part of all of this is with all the days Francesa takes off, we'll hopefully get to hear more of the best show on WFAN in primetime, Beningo & Roberts.

He was the only reason I listened.

Same here I can't listen to Fransecea by himself he is an arrogant pompous D!ckhead who knows it all and never admits when he is wrong. Atleast Russo admits when he's wrong if I had to pick the 2 to listen to i would pick Russo his firery personality and that crazy laugh I am gonna miss on the FAN. The least WFAN can do after 19 years is have a farewell show they owe us the FANS that much I think. Good luck Mad Dog in what ever you do his show will be better than Francesea's because he has personality not arrogance

Stopped listening to them a long time ago. I listen to Michael Kay on ESPN radio. He is not just a Yankees guy, even though that's the team he knows best. Don La Greca is one of the best "sidekicks" in the business. It also doesn't hurt that being on ESPN radio, they get some great guests, even though it's not a national show.

I thought that as a team Mike and the Mad Dog were very entertaining.
If you look at the great comedy teams they were usually opposites -
Laurel and Hardy, Abbot and Costello, Martin and Lewis.
They will each bomb on their own.
I can?t stand that Carton guy. Boomer is ok.

Bummer, together these guys were great, separately they are nowhere near as good. Francecsa is an egomaniac and when Russo was on without him he was frequently out of control with no one to keep him in check.

IMHO

I think they are both embarassments to New York and New Yorkers. Dog was a "rabid dog" who shot from the hip, jumped to conclusions and could seldom control his impulses which made mellow-me want to strangle him to death (well, almost). I stopped listening mostly because (Trivia Brilliant)Mikey Boy was such a know-it-all, condescending blankety blank. Bring back Art Rust, Jr. and Bill Mazur! (Good night, my friends!)

Russo wanted out/broke his contract..just like many of the coaches/players he ranted about. He's no better then them.

FYI, I went to college with Russo (he was 2 years ahead of me). He did the same schtick on our college radio as he's been doing for the past 19+ years.
