Anyone have or have knowledge of the Chris Craft CC 22' dory? I've seen a glass model from I guess the late 70's

You are talking about the 22' Chris Craft Cutlass Dory....
....or the 22' Chris Craft Cavalier Dory....

Both excellent boats.

My buddie had a 1969 Cutlass. Wooden Lapstake with a CC V8 inboard (most all of them were inboards)....Ran like a bear
Handled the sound really well....a nice solid boat

The Dory is basically the same boat, but open..........

Great boats if you can find one at a reasonable price.................they are hard to come by without spending big money.........:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Thanks, have a line on a boat I've known locally for 30 years. Glass & She's maintained 1st rate, price is right but, there's no talk on the engine so I'm assuming replacing that. I have to crunch the numbers on an engine and maybe a rebuilt 4-cylinder diesel. She's the open CC, I've been scrambling my brain on the 'net with the differences between Cutlass and Cavalier

You may find it difficult to replace with anything but another s/b chevy the trans is mounted on the opposite end of the flywheel so it can be tucked down deep & steep in the bilge.
They handle well but show a need for trim tabs
