IM LOOKING FOR A LONG ISLAND CHARTER BOAT (40 FT OR BIGGER) FOR OVERNIGHT TUNA FISHING AT CANYONS. I WANT A CAPTAIN WHO REALLY LIKES THIS TYPE OF FISHING NOT JUST SOMEONE LOOKING FOR THE PAYCHECK.

cost?

hey guys, thinking of the same thing myself this year. i want to go on a charter to the canyons for overnight chunking for YFT or maybe trolling for albacore. ive never caught a real tuna and i just dont feel any confidence in catching one on a party boat.
any idea of what a charter trip costs or how many people make up a charter?

Depending on where you are located Reel Action out east in Shinne**** or I would go to Point Pleasent, New Jersey out of the Manisquan Inlet,a charter boat called Canyon Runner. (www.canyonrunner.com) 48ft Viking and these guys really know how to put you onto fish. Check out the website and you will see.

Reel Action is top Notch! i fished side by side with him last season, he can put together a nice catch of fish, he runs a 44 henriques, very comfortable boat. Capt Bill is a down to earth guy, along with his sons, one who runs a charter boat overseas somewhere in Saipan i belive, very knowledgable crew.
