i just picked up a 7 foot trigger style 12 to 20 e-glass chaos rod at the show .beautifully made.great wrapping ,good feel for an inshore rod for the boat . has anyone tried this particular brand of rod?
A friend of mine has one he uses for blues & Bass, I think 20-40lb rating. He likes it, and I agree the guys does a good job on these rods, especially for the price. Enjoy
I would use an Abu Gacia Ambassadeur 6500 C3 or C4. I like having 3 or 4 ball brearings adn also the light weight of the reel. It is easier on the wrist and arm. Besides they cast and work well.

thanks capt neil. my first choice was going to be the 6500,even though ive been using penn reels for years. my buddy has the 7000 but looking at the weight of both i thought the 6500 being lighter would suit that rod well for fluke blues and bass.thanks for the info and cant wait to peel that shrinkwrap off!!!
