Cary gave me a call last night. Pablo, I need to get in on some of that action in Moriches!!! I said ok as long as it's not raining, we can hit the water say 6 AM to 9 AM ok? Great I'll call you in the AM to confirm. 4:45 AM NO WIND = BASS LETS GO! So we leave the dock at 6 AM. Cary says what we going to use Pablo? Pablo says Yozurri's of course. Pablo ties on a nice new Crystal Minnow for Cary and Pablo goes with the Mag Minnow. 1st stop 3 rd cast Pablo On!!! 22" Bass goes back. few cast later Pablo On again!!! This time it's a Big Chopper, practically swallowed the whole Lure. We ended up keeping him because the lure was really hard to remove. That's ok Cary say's Dinner for me. Now were in a good spot NO WIND, NO WEED and Cary hooks up what is it it's a BASS around 20-22", not bad for the 1st fish of 2008. Quick Photo op and back he goes back.
A few casts later Cary On!!! Another Bass this one followed the lure right to the boat. The water was Gin clear and we got to see him take the lure and run with it. Cool I quick broke out the video Camera looks like a keeper!!! We measure 27.75" Just missed Oh well we'll get another one I'm sure.
So we move to another spot again Cary On!!! Video and all another 27.75" OH MAN SO CLOSE!!! We caught a total of about 12 fish 4 Bass or so a piece and a few blues. Wind really picked up or we would have stayed. We were the ONLY BOAT out there. ALL FISH released except that one Chopper. I up loaded the Video's they came out good. Check em Out.
