A large shape loomed out of the fog, greeting about 30 anglers expecting to see the Captree Princess at her usual mooring. It was the Captree Pride, (before her official debut date), filling in while Capt Rob and crew did some Springtime sprucing up of the Princess. On what was supposed to be a warm, but cloudy day, Capt Kenny Higgins took us out to the reef, through dense fog in search of flatties. On the first drop, many sea bass were caught and released but not much flounder. On the next drop, things picked up immediately. and fish started coming up all around the boat. Capt Ken had to make a few adjustments and a few short hops, but the fishing was pretty steady all morning, as was the rain. Just before we had to leave, the boat limited out and everyone went home happy. Everyone enjoyed the ample room of the big boat and agreed that it will be a great addition to the Captree fleet. Thanks to Capt. Kenny and mates Pat, Larry and Eric for making it a great day, despite the weather.
