also if anyone has some info on fishing cashes and would like to help me out on what to expect out there? what size jigs, what kind work well, what kind of teeser do you use?

thank you for the help

I am going Monday as well, but on a different boat. 10-14 oz viking Jigs, and 6-10 oz diamond jigs work well, you can fish with bait too, but the dogs will be more bothersome w/bait instead of Jigs. Fishing has been pretty good on Cashes so far, I've done one trip on the Yankee Capts and fishing was pretty good. For teasers you can use a fly, a jelly worm, or a tube, all about 2 feet above the jig on a dropper loop.

I'm just keeping an eye on the offshore weather for Monday...:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

it's early yet and that can change but that's borderline weatherwise, 25knots of wind is not good offshore...possible cancellation...we'll know more by Sat morning for sure...the forecast this morning was great for Monday, now it went from beautiful to "I think I'm going to throw up"

We'll see..

I went out on a September trip on the YC 2 years ago with similar conditions and after a tropical stornm blew by Bermuda. Seas were BIG & the current was a beast! Lots of soccer moms on board and I was very frustrated by fealing the mono rub up against my braid! Every time I hit bottom it was fish on! The condition where tuff to fish but the fish wanted to eat and if you new how to tend bottom and cast it was great fishing. I know I had a great time on that trip.

On another note. If you make it out and a cusk comes up with his stomack still in him push out the sand eels and use them for bait. I had a cusk burp out about 50 eels last week and half where still kicking. The guys fishing bait next to me hooked up instantly when they hit bottom with live sand eels on. HB

The boat is awesome, same with the mates. I just got off that vessel and I believe Moe is working that trip. Talk about jig fishing, he can cast a country mile and manage to get a fish when nobody else can. I think the seas are laying down for Monday.

Good luck
