I plan a few party boat trips a year (yes they are special events for me) and usually go on the Capt. Scotty at Captree. Fathers’ day is drawing near and that's my usual outing with my kids. I used to take them, but now they're all over 21 so they take me. Anyway, I haven't seen any of his ads in the Fisherman or mention of him in the posts. Can anyone tell me if he's still there, if not, any suggestions?

The boat was sold to the Frances Fleet in Rhode Island. It is now called the Admiral Frances. I don't think Capt. George Tweedy is still in the business. He was in the business a long time and ran a good boat. Hopefully, he just retired thats all. Good luck.

Yup, he's retired.

The story I heard was someone made him an offer too good to refuse for the boat so he took it and retired.

Capt Scotty

That boat brings back fond memories-used to fish it many times as a teenager with my Dad-Unfortunately I'm sure not a teen any more-I know there were a number of boats that had the Scotty name.

Good luck George, you've earned it...

Thanks for the updates fellow "fisherpeople" I don't have a lot to compare him to because as I said, whenever I got the chance to go, it was always on the Capt. Scotty. George was a nice guy, he was pleasant and always worked hard to make it a good trip. I wish him well.

PS Why doesn't spell check recognize "fisherpeople", isn't it PC? I thought that elements of the world of technology were supposed to be cutting edge.
