Anyone out there using a Cape Fear rod? I just bought a 7' bait caster to go with a new Calcutta 700 but won't be able to give it a test drive for at least another couple of weeks. I'm hoping that when I can finally get out there that I'll be happy with it but until then I'm wondering if I'm crazy for spending those dollars. It does feel nice in the hand but until there's a 15 lbs blue on the other end you just don't know.

Hi,

I think you will be happy with your new rod.

I tried my friends on sea bass and found it to be very sensitive and responsive.

This year they have reduced the costs of their blanks greatly. Some day I will build on for my self.

The LB70 is exactly the one I bought and I plan on using it for chunking blues and bass. As far as the price, you mean it was more expensive? Now I HAVE to get out sometime this week at night.
