Bush is resigning, this is an advanced copy of his speech.....

Normally, I start these things out by saying 'My Fellow Americans', not doing it this time. If the polls are any indication, I don't know who more than half of you are anymore. I do know something terrible has happened, and that you're really not fellow Americans any longer.

I'll cut right to the chase here: I quit. Now before anyone gets all in lather about me quitting to avoid impeachment, or to avoid prosecution, let me assure you: There's been no breaking of laws or impeachable offenses in this office.

The reason I'm quitting is simple. I'm fed up with you people. I'm fed up because you have no understanding of what's really going on in the world, or what's going on in this once-great nation of ours. And the majority of you are too damned lazy to do your homework and figure it out.

Let's start local. You've bee n sold a bill of goods by politicians and the news media. Polls show that the majority of you think the economy is in the tank. And that's despite record numbers of homeowners, including record numbers of MINORITY homeowners. And while we're mentioning minorities, I'll point out that minority business ownership is at an all-time high. Our unemployment rate is as low as it ever was during the Clinton administration. I've mentioned all those things before, but it doesn't sink in.

Despite the shock to our economy of 9/11, the stock market has rebounded to record levels and more Americans than ever are participating in these markets. We face real threats in the world. Meanwhile, all you can do is whine about gas prices, and most of you are too **** stupid to realize that gas prices are high because there's increased demand in other parts of the world, and because a small handful of noisy idiots are more worried about polar bears and beachfront property than your economic security.

Don't give me this 'blood for oil' crap. If I were trading blood for oil I would've already seized Iraq's oil fields and let the rest of the country go to ****. And don't give me this 'Bush Lied; People Died' crap either. If I were the liar you morons take me for, I could've easily had chemical weapons planted in Iraq so they could be 'discovered.' Instead, I owned up to the fact that the intelligence was faulty.

Let me remind you that the rest of the world thought Saddam had the goods, same as me. Let me also remind you that regime change in Iraq was official US policy before I came into office. Clinton established that policy. Bet you didn't know that, did you?

You idiots need to understand that we face a unique enemy. Back during the cold war, there were two major competing political and economic models squaring off. We won that war, but we did so because fundamentally, the Communists wanted to survive, just as we do. We were simply able to out spend and out-tech them.

That's not the case this time. The soldiers of our new enemy don't care if they survive. In fact, they want to die. That'd be fine, as l ong as they weren't also committed to taking as many of you with them as they can. But they are. They want to kill you, and the ******** are all over the globe. You should be grateful that they haven't gotten any more of us here in the United States since September 11. But you're not. That's because you've got no idea how hard a small number of intelligence, military, law enforcement, and homeland security people have worked to make sure of that. When this whole mess started, I warned you that this would be a long and difficult fight. I'm disappointed how many of you people think a long and difficult fight amounts to a single season of 'Survivor.'

Instead, you've grown impatient. You're incapable of seeing things through the long lens of history, the way our enemies do. You think that wars should last a few months, a few years, tops.

Making matters worse, you actively support those who help the enemy. Every time you buy the New York Times, every time you send a donation to a cut-and-run Democrat's political campaign, well, you might just as well FedEx a grenade launcher to a Jihadist. It amounts to the same thing.

In this day and age, it's easy enough to find the truth. It's all over the Internet; it just isn't on the pages of the New York Times or on NBC News. But even if it were, I doubt you'd be any smarter. Most of you would rather watch American Idol.

I could say more about your expectations that the government will always be there to bail you out, even if you're too stupid to leave a city that's below sea level and has a Cat 5 hurricane approaching.

I could say more about your idiotic belief that government, not your own wallet, is where the money comes from. But I've come to the conclusion that were I to do so, it would sail right over your heads.

So, I quit. I'm going back to Crawford. I've got an energy-efficient house down there (Al Gore could only dream of) and the capability to be fully self-sufficient. No one ever heard of Crawford before I got elected, and as soon as I'm done here pretty much no one will ever hear of it again. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to die of old age before the last pillars of America fall.

Oh, and by the way, Cheney's quitting too. That means Pelosi is your new President. You asked for it - you can have her. Watch what she does carefully, because I still have a glimmer of hope that there are just enough of you remaining who are smart enough to turn this thing around in 2008.

So that's it. God bless what's left of America. Some of you know what I mean. The rest of you - kiss my ass!

Tony - When calling another man "stupid", you really should make sure your own grammar is correct. Much more credible that way.

classic! LOL

with all due respect I fail to see how race has to do with anything. The media has done enough polarization already. As well as the Dems. That's why their campaign has been a circus.

LMAO!! That's for reinforcing my point from the another thread:

Begs the Question: If something positive happens in Iraq, and the media doesn't report it, did it really happen?

They're probably too busy working up the questions on their next push-poll to see what percentage of Americans think the war is lost and we need to pull out now.

Perhaps if CNN would report the Good news, as well as the bad, the polls might look a little different. But hey, why start now.

Want a influx of money. Impose tarriffs on foreign goods just like they impose tarrifs on our goods. Anybody signing us up for free trade agreements with us? We help other countries develop so they can stick it up our A#@!.

Thanks for proving another point I was making with a friend of mine yesterday.

There was a thread posted here on Noreast by a member who had lost a member of his family in Iraq. Many people, on both sides of the political aisle paid their respects and offered their condolences. Neither YOU, nor your crony above you had the common human decency to chime in and offer your condolences. NOT Surprising.

Mention Israel or Bush and I knew you and MovetheBoat would come crawling out from under your rocks. A fellow Noreaster loses a loved one defending the very freedoms that allow you to make a crack like the one above and you can't even spare him a couple of pecks on a keyboard.

Don't worry, it's not just you. There are lots of "I support the troops but not the war" weenies who have made all sorts of posts about all sorts of BS since that thread was put up, and they never bothered to show any human decency either. ****, one of them used to post the casualty list "to honor the fallen heroes". BS, he did it to make a political statement. Now he can't even type "I'm sorry for your loss". Disgusting.

In case you ever care to do the decent thing, here's the thread that didn't warrant your attention. Apparently you're more interested in Bush bashing that paying your respects to the very people defending your right to express yourself so freely.

So after 7 and something years, his turning tail and running away from the job and blaming the Americans that voted him in. Figures, I was wondering when the misinformed(WMD in Iraq, yadi yadi yadda), word makerer(hey I came up with this one in Bush's honor), and lets not forget the "Decider" was gonna run away from all the chit he left in his wake.
But hey, it's not his fault, it's the Americans fault.

Iraq, we know they had WMD, you incompetent ass couldn't even go ina nd find it. Ya big Doofus. You're dad told you Saddam had the WMD, heck, that wasn't bad intel, he frekin gave it too him, yeesh. why the heck couldn't you find it? Find the WMD, Find Saddam, and find Obama, three simple things and ya blew two of em, and spent trillions at it. But naw, it's the peoples fault.

Run, Bush Run.

All joking aside,
As one of the many "Minority" home owner and business owner, that pay taxes and vote and frequent this forums, what does my ownership of home and business have anything to do with what the rest of the idiot America did with their mortgages or the trillion dollar deficit the "Decider" put us in?

Scott1280, Please explain that to me? Is that some secret Klan message? Are you recruiting for the Arian nation?

And talk about crawling out from under a rock...In that rediculous fake letter you wrote (you know the one where bush, THE PRESIDENT blames the Americans for everything thats wrong) you think the stock market is doing well? what planet do you live on? Your rock is certainly heavier than mine.

My condolences to whoever it was that lost a loved one. I will surely check out that thread.

As for you...SCOTT. Blame blame blame. I guess the state of the nation is my fault. Just like losing the bass tourney....You lost cuz your GPS crapped out right? Stop it now.

It was right here in the lounge. You managed to find this thread, funny how you didn't find the other.
Even after posting the link for you, do you take a couple of seconds to go post a condolence to the person who lost a relative? NO. But you take the time to ramble off at me again. Mind boggling!!

LMAO! If my postings are all over noreast, how could I be hiding under a rock? You can't even take a poke at me without contradicting yourself.

Thanks for giving me credit for this SPOOF, but it came to me in an e-mail. I figured it would be as irresistable to you as a bleeding bunker to a Bluefish, and used it to prove a point to someone about which thread some of the weenies that didn't take the time to express their condolences would certainly take the time to post in. Consider yourself caught.

I guess you'll get around to it sooner or later. MUCH more important for you to take a couple of pathetic swipes at me than click on the link I provided and go type a few words to express some sympathy. Such a warm-hearted soul you are.

And I never said I "lost" because of my GPS, Please show me where I said that. Actually QUOTE something I ACTUALLY said for once, rather that just making it up as you go along!

The REALITY is that my GPS WAS screwed up the morning we were going to start fishing, which left us blind. ****, I even posted pictures of the stupid thing. That's whining?

Why don't you put your money where your fingers are. $100 bucks says the unit was malfunctioning and that was the reason we couldn't participate effectively. Come-on, You want to make mis-statements? Put up, or shut up.

Hey genius! some people use PMs for such personal things as what you are talking about, I don't need to be "recognized" and what I said about that was none of your business, you are a real "richard"!
sheesh!

By the way, resignation for your "hero" is too good! A firing squad is more in order! Then maybe you won't have to "track" who offers a "I'm sorry" FOR THE NEXT CASUALTY related to a NOREASTER!
