OK it is official the first Flowers Boatworks 36 designed by Spencer Lincoln is out of the mold. It took a little while to get the mold done but Ken and his crew have been working very hard all winter and got it done. Here are a few shots of the boat as it rolled out of the shed moving into the shop. I will have more pictures in the next few weeks when I go up to see my C9 in the boat.
One, Do you know what size prop will fit under the boat? It looks alot bigger than the pocket of the NB. Interesting photo of the Duffy and NB, I've never seen a 37 up close. Best of luck too you.
tunaorlater,
If I remember right I believe Ken told me it will swing a 32' wheel. We are planning on 28" x ??? right now.
Thanks. Good luck fishing as I am sitting this season out, my 28 sold the other day.
Hey CM thanks. The first few pictures are digital pictures the ones they sent me. The day I was there it was late once it came out of the mold and they decided it would be best to move it out of the shed the next day, so I didn't get any good shots with my digital.
I would really like to take you up on your offer, as I would love to see that green stick in action.
Thanks again.
Rhumbline,
I am not sure that it qualifies as a clipper bow but the entry is 47 degrees just like any deep V hull.
If I could find one of those bow ornaments with a big enough set of jewels I would certainly consider it.
Guys I was looking for some feedback on your thoughts about using a shaft seal like PSS or Duramax over a regular stuffing box with drip less shaft packing. I know the pros and cons of both but wanted to hear your thoughts and maybe good and bad experiences. Anyone?
Well I made the trip to Maine yesterday and here are a few pictures of our boat waiting to go inside the shop. Seems things are a little slow on finishing another boat that is holding me up on going inside.
So for now I have to wait.
One, looks good. I see alot of the Northern Bay in that with exeption to the bow area above the water line. Whats the deal with the light pockets? Under water lights go in them I assume and if so whats the benifit rather than just putting them through the hull?
