Check around, there is likely a class building these near you at some time during the year. There are several classes a year at the Norwalk Maritime Center in CT. If you have the space you can get a kit from CLC and build one in abt 50-60 hrs they say. These are nice sea kayaks, kits are about same cost as a tupperware boat.
