broken rod tip

I bought a new shimano rod back in April. About two weeks ago my friend accidently broke off the tip. I got it fixed at a local bait shop. Went fishing soon after and it broke again. So i bought the glue to fix it myself. I didnt even think, how does shimano handle this? I didnt think to contact them and possibly get a new rod and not have to deal with the tip breaking ever so often. Any info about shimano and how they deal with this?
