I'm continuing the other thread, with an update: Phantom Red Power Pro Thread

The reason I started a new thread, is because some of the info I posted is not 100% accurate, which I apologize for. I was claiming the REd is more visible than the yellow/green braided lines, and it seems tha tis not always the case. I realized this after removing my sunglasses and looking at both lines in teh water.

MY sungalsses have yellow lenses, so I have a very difficult time seeing the yellow & green braids in certain conditions - sunlight. THat is the reason I stated the Pink & Red braids are much more visible - to me tehy are but it's only becaus eI am using a yellow lens'd sunglass.

I really hate bad info, and am sorry for postin gthat. I still stand by what I stated, but I now realize it is only true in certain conditions and wanted to update people who might have went out on my recommendations to buy the REd/Pink lines and might be pissed at me.

I always use a few feet of fluoro off my spectra no matter what color I choose to use. However I prefer the hi/vis yellow as a lot of fluke hit the bucktail on the drop/fall and I can see the hi/vis better when the line stops short and get a hook-set. Most of my larger fluke over the yrs. have come on the drop. Same principal for any type of jigging I do.

Guys

I use High Vis Yellow, Moss Green and Phantom Red Power Pro and I use a 24-48 inch Yo-Zuri Pink - Fluor Leader and it has not made any difference to me as to what color my running line is. I like the high-vis yellow when live-lining as I can easily follow the line during a run on overcast days.

What I heard is that for human eyes all the above stated is true, that we can't see red past certain depths, it disapears, yada yada but that fish eyes were different hence showing that red worms work for cod, red tubes on jigs, etc. Just a different perspective.

Now I'm really wondering? Remember tagging along on my daughter school trip to the Bronx Zoo afew years ago,red lights were used in A nocturnal exibit. The guide stated that onlt primates can see red or in red light. What about bulls? Iasked, the guide replied it was the motion of the cape and the matadors aggresive stance. Still confused and using red&white feathers on some rigs!
