i am going bottom fishing this season for the first time i know alot of guys use jigs what are the most common jigs to use for bottom fishing

If you don't know what species you target yet, start with diamond/hammered diamond jigs with various weights.

I am going on trips on the Jamaica for their giant sea bass, cod and Pollock trips if anyone has any more tips for jig selection it would be appreciated

For seabass I recommend to sweaten with a strip of squid on hooks. and teasered hook for cod and pollack. If porgy are still around, bouce a 6 -8 oz silverball sweatened with a strip of squid using smaller hooks. You can get both seabass and porgy.
