Isn't it the same thing? Doesn't most of the bottled water actually come from a public water source? The same as tap water?

I have those nalgene bottles but I read just recently that they will leach some chemical that is a carcinogen:rolleyes:. It was suggested that you get a stainless bottle. I just fill a jug with ice and keep cups near. That's why I have cup holders on my boat.

Bottled water is that comes from a public water supply is filtered and processed by the bottler. This usualy has an effect on the taste.

It depends on the brand. Polan Spring comes from (drum roll please) Poland ME, Evian comes fron Evian France, Perrier comes from Perierr France, The list of water that come from natural spring is long. Other waters (mainly from the big bottling companies like Coke and Pepsi come from public of private water supplies and are filtered, or purified.

That?s exactly what we have been doing for a few years now all the time. The water bottles in my refrigerator have been reused at least 50 times each. I don't remember the last time we bought water.

Fill the bottles with the Brita pitcher and there you have it, good clean fresh tasting water.

I live in PA and there's a house on the side of the road on my way down to my kids baseball games that has a perpetually running spring. Talk about good tasting water. Actually that might not be the right way to describe it because there really isn't a taste to it. It's hard to explain but it tastes/goes down awesome. No after taste at all.

The guy set up piping, some hoses and some type of drainage system and the water runs out of a hose into a basin 24x7. It has to be flowing at over 20-30 gallons per minute.

I heard that the home owner has been approached several times by multiple companies to buy his house so that they can bottle and sell the water, but he has refused to sell. It's some older gentlemen and he let's anyone stop by his driveway to fill up jugs of this stuff, but he won't sell and commericalize it.

Nice stuff.

There's a place on our way to Vermont and a place on Rt 22 upstate NY where we do that as well.

That pipe has been running water from underground spring out of it forever and EVERYBODY stops and fill up there.
The locals, the travellers, the police dept, fire dept, etc.........it is the cleanest, crispest water ever

We have a good reverse osmosis filter system under the kitchen counter with a spigot above at the sink, keep a few pitchers of cold water in the fridge at all times. Much better taste than tap water. I always hated lugging those gallons home from the store. Out on the road, or on the water, its poland spring pints.

I heard that refilling those bottles without a good cleaning is one of the worst things you can do, something to do with bacteria. The bottled water craze has been terrible for the environment also, even though many people recycle, there are billions of those bottles in landfills.
