Fished on the American Classic (Walsh's Fishing, Lynn, MA) yesterday with some of the cod fishing greats, aka Jim Feeny and Jim Mailea. It was a wicked slow day.I managed four keepers, 3 market cod and one nice pollock around 18 pounds. It started out moderately rough in the morning, but laid out nicely as the day went on.The fish were not inside; in fact, we ended up going all the way up to Tillie's Bank. Might go on the Yankee Fleet thursday, if not my next trip won't be for a week and a half because I'm going to key west.I'll let everyone know how I do if i do go thursday.
See ya,

Ouch!
Willy was there any bait on Tillies?
We did well with Tim last week on Platts and Mike Cleary had a rec trip to southern Jeffries that did well keeping 30 fish for 5.5 boxes.
Wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

Cod

Willie,
At least you got out. I've been blown out a couple of times. I'm scheduled for this Sunday on the Helen-H. The weather sounds like it is going to lay down Sat. Hopefully it stays the same for Sunday. When they get out, they're pulling them.
I'll post if we get out.

hey guys,
bob, didn't see any bait anywhere, and although there may have been herring on the bottom, there were so few fish of a size big enough to eat a herring caught that it was hard to tell if there were any. Won't be going on the yankee thursday, they're saying 40-50 kts and 10-20 ft seas. Not my cup of tea. Next trip will likely be sunday januray 5, the day after i return from florida, on either the helen h or walshs once again.
Happy Holidays,
