Capt Jack I have no idea why this site puts up with your continuous antagonistic BS.
I for one am really sick of it.

Please start showing some respect for the people that contribute and volunteer to make this a better place.

Methinks guys like (fill in the blank) do most of their trolling behind a keyboard. Whatever.
Clearly, DoctorFish has made a few cyber-enemies. I've found myself on the other side of many of his opinions, but so what? Its a discussion forum..imagine how boring it would be if everyone thought the same way. Fact is, he puts time into this site, generates discussion and takes it seriously. The fact that he hasn't responded to some of the latest bashings (thinly disguised as "opinions")is a good thing. Who cares if he uses bold lettering? Guys who come here to stir things up will go away if they're ignored. They usually do.
To George: I've seen other sites that have an "ignore" feature which lets you ignore posts from certain users. For example, if Bassman doesn't want to see any posts from a certain member, he can choose to ignore all posts from said member. Do you know if your software supports this (I know Prospero does)? Might be worth looking into.
Anyway, the fall run cometh...good fishing to all.

I was just asking if this was something new or it was what Doc is doing? No need to get nasty.
I for one like the idea of being able to pick quotes from other post so if there is a dispute you can pick it up.

I apologize if my post seemes nasty becasue it wasn't meant to be. I've seen you add to many good discussions on this board and I thought it was a good question.
It's the negativity that needs to be stopped and I like CelticOne's idea and I hope noreast could do something like that, becasue people like Capt Jack put a damper on things.

As the old saying goes opinions and excuses are like a%#$ holes, everyone has one and everyone is entitled to one.
Bassman you are right lets go. Only kiddin but I am palnning my trip to Monatuk. Leaving Friday mourning to put the boat out in Gone Fishin till the 29th. The reports have been pretty good so far except for this storm off the coast but hopefully it will be gone when I go.
I will keep you posted on the fishing.

I think it's so cool that he writes in bold because it helps us see what is his words and what is the quotes and outside articles he brings in. The stuff he shares with us from outside sources is so valuable. I give him lots of credit for not taking credit for some of the information.
And by the way, we must be so bored and out of new material that we have to start a topic about the moderator. But since you started it i am gonna add to it and here it goes::
What enemies? Doc fish has a ton of fans. The other day I was walking down a busy dock and about ten guys where all talking good stuff about Doctorfish and how he keeps this whole website alive and interesting. He also hever looses his cool when guys like Capt Jack do nothing more than bust his balls.
I might be way off with this but I but he and the other moderators do this stuff for free. From the way it sounds it sounds like they all have jobs and do this moderator stuff on a volunteer bases giving up his free time to help keep the language here clean and help keep conversations flowing. A good example is today. He hasn't posted much and the whole website seems to be dead. Nothing good to respond to.
As far as the ignore feature I utilize it mostly all the time on other internet chat and boards and they should put it here so we can tune out capt jack and the few other guys who don't ever write anything but negative stuff against all of us.

Who wants a lad-dee-da jolly place with no opposing opnions. On the rare occasions when you are wrong you admit to it and you always back your statements with data and articles from third parties and authorities outside of this website. Keep up the great work and don't sink to the level of some of the members here who dont show no respect.

Can't we just help each other learn to fish better, and enjoy some entertainment while we are at it? You don't have to agree with everyone. No one agrees with everyone. But why insist on busting balls on a consistant basis? You are busting about something that is not even a topic! Who the **** cares??? I don't agree with Doc about everything, but I sure as **** get a lot of good info from him. You need to get out on the water and smile already.

That other Capt Jack has to question evereething and evereone. He even had to start trouble with me 'cause I have the same nickname as him so he went and had the website change my screen name from Captain Jack to CaptainJ. I understand why they gave in to his request an Im even glad these folks did it through the computor 'cause I dont need to be confusd with the other captjack who only writes bad things and makes fun of all of many of us.

Thanks to Doctor Fish, Doughboy, and everyone at Noreast.com for making this site fun and informative. I really enjoy being able to read what others have to contribute regarding advice they have to share about boating and fishing in my area, as well as their experiences and stories. I also appreciate the great features the noreast site makes available for information on conditions, marine weather, fishing reports, etc. Thanks again for your hard work!

Gentlemen,
I urge all of you to check your calendars and realize that we are on the eve of the biggest tragedy to ever
strike this country. Let's all be thankful that we are here to make such silly arguments regarding irrelevant
topics such as this. For at least the next 24 hours, let us all be nice to one another and appreciate what we have. Many fellow New Yorkers will have far greater concerns tomorrow. Say a prayer for them. I know I will.
