It is a little bit of a circus but there are plenty of fish around, especially when the crabs are being flushed out of Boca Grande Pass. Basically the boat's form a chain and drift through the fish, most often jigging big jig heads with oversized tails! Often times it can be fast and furious fishing. Some of the more adventuresome anglers will leave those drifts and move in toward the beach where you can get a shot at them with flies and lighter tackle. It is a good place to catch your first tarpon!
