Did anyone see the half submerged boat being towed back to the dock through Moriches Inlet last night? Scary sight, hope everyone was ok!...Wonder what happened.

I saw the vessel off the beach of smiths point. I got to the beach at around 10, and the boat was off the beach submerged up to what looked like the fly bridge. When we left around 4 it was still there. There was another boat anchored next too it, and looked like they were trying to right the vessel.
Anyone know what happened to it?

Not sure what happened to it...if you saw it at 4, they were probably waiting for the tide to turn so they could get it through the inlet. It was still mostly submerged when they were towing it...then it looked like they missed the turn to the east cut and put it on the sandbar. Looked like it was being towed by a private vessel, not SeaTow or Tow Boat. It was so dark last night, the buoys were impossible to see, most of the lights on them are out. They need to fix them!!!
