Ok.. so I'm about to order my permit & the space for my boats name comes up.. It's required and I'm not sure if this is just any random name I'd like to give it or if it's actually something that can't be a duplicate or allready registered.. could someone fill a rookie in on the boat naming protocol?.. My boat is only state registered & not documented. Thanks,

Jon

Leaky, it can be any name, in fact, if you don't have a name, and don't want one, try typing in, "no name". It will probably accept it, and you should be able to continue with the on-line permit process.

Thanks guys -

DJ - Well, the boats name may as well be leakyrivot, or straight out "leaky" might even be more fitting ;)..

I may as well pick a name, hows "Spooled" sound to you guys? I've never seen that name in my area.

A boats name is a very serious consideration: It may well impact upon your social status as well as those who associate with you. Selection of an Improper name could have far reaching ramifications that could prehaps even reach well beyound the currnt generation and inflict emotional duress upon your hiers. Therefore I employ you to take careful deliberation of such an important undertaking.

Consider: Such nobel mariners as have gone before you whose one fabled yachts name have come to rest in this depository of infamy.

Hence: I decided with not much adu to embelish upon my vessel the christening of "ROW DENT" Most Approprite as she is 12 feet on the waterline of pure Alcoa insperation.

I highly advise you to consider ther ramifications of foolish vanity and chuse wisely.
