On my way back in home around 4 this afternoon I had Nassau County Marine 5 go flying past us with lights & sirens in reynold's channel headed west. I turned on my radio and scanner hoping to hear what might be going on and a little while later overheard the coast guard talking to a captain about a capsized bot near the 2nd loop parkway bridge. Apparently near Buoy 16.

Anyone know what happened to the west and what the story was with the capsized boat in sloop channel? Seems like it turned out to be a busy afternoon.

Yup. Right around that time (to the west) they also had a search for a report of a missing diver that was eventually located.
