I'm getting really angry about these bluefish breaking my swivels or the actual wire leader and stealing my lure, and i cannot find a wire leader with a hevy enough swivel, who knows a website where i can order wire leader with heavy swivels? i have lost about 15 lures..

If you are using Poppers, Metals etc...there is no reason to use wire. Use 50-60 pound Mono or Flurocarbon leader and tie direct to your Popper or use a heavy duty Rosco Snap, Coast Lock Snap etc...check your leader frequently.

I can see using wire on a baited hook and you can use coated American Fishing Wire in 40-60 pound test and simply do this. Take a 65 pound Spro swivel and make 6 wraps and then take a cigarette lighter and carefully and quickly run it along the wraps to melt the wraps. Do not melt the coating off 100%, now take an 8/0 O'Shaunesey hook, thread the wire through the eye, wrap in around the standing wire about 6 times, hold it and lightly scorch the wraps to melt them together. Done in minutes and in one sitting you can make 30-40 pcs.

Good Luck!
