Where are the blue claws....have their been any sightings of them yet.. I no its a little early but just curios if they started migratin into the inlets and pier?

Welcome to Noreast you might want to try doing a search for blue claws or going back a few pages in this forum. The crab subject has been coverd a lot in the past few weeks.

i know once the crabs get a little bigger u can go down to captree with a long handled net during the changing tides; caught about 30 in a few hours last year with some friends

There has been a few at wantagh park. I am not sure where you are coming from but there are probably places near you where you can do just as well if you are far away from wantagh.
If not give wantagh but bring traps because they are not on the poles yet. Theres a few swimming around but not many. Also, if there is no breeze you will get killed by gnats and mosquitos but with even a little breeze you will be ok.

They are at Peters clam bar in Island Park.That little bridge next to the restaraunt is where the hot water discharge for the LIPA plant is.They are there early every year.Bring a pole too.There is tons of blues in there too.

ok, thank you.....im fishing/ crabbing out of new york athletic club.....I got them pretty good last year with my trap and nets...
