BLOCK ISLAND

I WILL BE SPENDING A WEEK ON BLOCK ISLAND AT THE END OF JUNE, WANT TO FIND OUT IF THERE ARE ANY GOOD CHARTER BOATS DOCKED THERE.I HAVE DONE MANY TRIPS ON THE DAYBREAKER OUT OF MONTAUK, BUT MOSTLY OFFSHORE TRIPS IN THE LATE SUMMER AND FALL. I HAVE NEVER BEEN ON THE ISLAND, ARE THERE CHARTERS DOCKED ON THE ISLAND? WHAT MIGHT BE SWIMMING AROUND THAT TIME OF YEAR, MAKOS?. WOULD PREFER TO DO SOME OFF SHORE STUFF, BUT ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE HELPFUL. WITH THIS WET COLD SNOW COMING DOWN I NEED TO BE THINKING ABOUT FISHING!

There are charter boats on block island, but I can't recommend any of them. You might also want to compare prices, Block island is nothing if not expensive. You might be better off having a boat from Pt. Judith or Montauk pick you up on the island. At that time of year there will be sharks around and maybe some school bluefin. If you want to go further there might be some longfin and yellowfin at the canyon.
