I just bought a 2008 Angler 180F with a 115 Optimax.

So far she's been pretty good and is my first Center Console. I've had boats since I was a kid and have fished out in front of the beaches in RI and on Lake Ontario for salmon. I've also taken my last boat a 16' Tracker Pro Deep V from Narraganset to Point Judith with no problems other than a little water in the face;).

Weather permitting would she be enough boat to head out the 10 miles to Block island from Point Judith?

Thanks, Robb

Just check your reports and be prepared for some fog. There is a guy that brings the newspapers out from the mainland every day in an inflatible with about a 25 hp engine, so there is no reason you can't do it if you can handle rough seas and fog on occasion.

Just pick a nice, calm day. That's a small boat and there is alot of open water out there. In summer, you can usually count on an afternoon southwest sea breeze to come up too. Be smart and be careful...
