I am looking to build a 2 pc. spinning rod, 7-8', for working artificials in the 3/8 - 1 1/4 oz range, using 8-15 lb test, possibly 20# power pro. Mainly, yozuri swimmers, fin-s, poppers, etc. I am planning on bringing the rod to Belieze for Bonefish/permit/small Tarpon. I built a 7' spinning rod from a lamiglas
GLB 84 1L That I really like but I am lookin for a 2 pc rod that is a little faster with a little more backbone. Any info is appreciated.

Hey Tony
You might want to check out a st. croix 2m70hf2,Pac Bay pacprhs9922, I could list a few more but that should get you started. Give me a buzz if you want. I'll be putting in an order after the holidays & would be happy to order you what you need.

Hi again,

Sorry, I had to run.

The Lamiglas might be a little too much of a blank for your use.

St Croix makes a 2S70HF2. This is a spin blank for musky/pike/salt, 7", 2 piece, heavy power, fast action, 10-20 # test, 1/2-1 1/2 oz lures and tip=6.5.

Another is St Croix 3S86MHF2. A spin blank for steelhead/salmon, 8'6" (you can trim the butt),2 piece, medium heavy power, fast action, 8-17 # test, 3/8-1 1/4 oz lures, 6.5 tip.

I have to say I have not built on these blanks. If other rod builders have used these or the blanks that rodcrafter suggested please help us to help Tpoliti.

Capt Neil

PS. Too many good blanks out there and we can't get to play with them all.
