Most black drum are caught from Barnegat Inlet south, with Atlantic City and Cape May being the prime areas.They do occasionally venture into more Northern NJ waters, but stick to the south if you truly want to target them. Tackle shops in the area can give you the best advice for bait choices. Bring BIG equipment, most large drum are lost before the angler even realizes what he had.
