I want to do some good reasonably priced PB bottom fishing....I would enjoy targetting "bigger" species like snapper, grouper, or AJ's. I can go any time June-August. Do you suggest somewhere in NC? Is the fishing for these species good at that time of year in NC? What port should I concentrate on and what PB's do u like best? Is the bottom fishing good there in the summer? I will also do some shore fishing.

Not sure About North Carolina but...........................

The few trips I have made with Viking in Tarpon Springs have all produced Big fish in all you mentioned. Captain Rich and Captain Carl are first class guys and run a first class operation

So u think Florida is the better option? Not too fished out in terms of the PB territory?

The Middle grounds trips are far from fished out. Local trips are not even close in comparrison
