I had a really great fluke season using Berkeley Gulp's this year. I used the swimming mullets and the shrimp, and both really worked. They now had a 10" Eel that they make in a few colors. Has anyone tried them? If so, how were the results. I still would prefer the real thing, but they could be a nice to have if your out fishing, and either don't have, or run out of the real thing.

Here is the link for the Berkley Gulp Eel

I've used them in a pinch 3-waying in Montauk and they caught. I don't think they were as the live eels my buddy was using, but they did work. And at over $2 each, they aren't as durable as a real eel either. but it is a nice and conveinent bait to keep handy with you.

Been through 2-3 packs of them in the past 3-4 years. I've fished them a few times when the bass were thick so it's hard to say since anything would have worked during those conditions. I tip large bucktails with them too.

i like them though my oppinion might not be valued...i tip a bucktail with them or use 1.25 jig heads they do catch...the thing is you really have to work it like an extension of ur body ...its contstat smooth movments ....its a lil better to just spend the money and buy a live eel but i would recomend them i have taken a few decent bass in last week and half with them ... if ur a lazy fisherman dont bother with em
