Capt Neil,
A few months back you were right on the money w/ specs for a bunker spoon rod, so here's another one for you. A bent butt rod for giant bluefin. Any advice, opinions, or specs would be great.
Thanks

Hi,

Glad the bunker spoon rod worked out so well.

I need a little help. Is this to be a stand up or a trolling rod? 50, 80 or
130# class rod? Or even unlimited?

A plain bent butt or a storabutt by Aftco? You can break down a storabutt either above or below the reel seat. This helps to make storing the rod easier without taking off the rig.

Let me know.

Hi,

For trolling rods you can use Calstar RT 130. It is a fiberglass blank and comes in 5 1/2 or 6 1/2'.

Lamiglas makes a GBT 130, graphite and 5 1/2' long. They also make a BRT 130 in fiberglass at 5 1/2'.

Seeker makes an IFGA 130 that is 5' 10" and I believe is E Glass.

Graphite is usually lighter in weight and fiberglass having more flex.

Any time you order blanks like this order the tip top to fit and the distributor will fit the tip top to that blank.

Aftco UB6C is for 50 to unlimited blanks. (curved Unibutt)

Big Foot Roller guides, can be ordered as a set, SHD76.

Also Big Foot Roller Tip Tops.

Aftco Guides come in several colors if needed.

I hope this helps you.
