Hit the bay on Sunday for the last weekend of launch access. About 4 other 'yakkers, and 4 boaters out there plugging away. Seemed like a real slow pick for all. One guy in a rental skiff had a nice 14# bass on a stringer that he said took a bunker chunk. Bunker were in, quite large too, like 10-12". I tried to snag for a bit without success. My fellow yak crew had a few short bass on the usual assortment of bombers, bucktails, etc. No fish for me. Wind picked up late, fortunately it was blowing in the direction I was going, so I slow trolled a T&W on the way out. Nada. Water was crystal clear, and 56 degrees. I think I'm gonna shift my efforts toward J-Bay for the rest of the season, any kind souls out there who would like to offer a tip or 2? <like href="http://www.noreast.com/postedreports/view.cfm?id=158789" send="false" show_faces="false" width='layout="button_count"'></like> |
