Seeing that the work on the new Tappan Zee Bridge was under full swing today it made me wonder how this would affect the bass migration up the Hudson. Any thoughts or concerns?
I don't think that driving pilings stirs up nearly as much silt and stuff as dredging does. One the piling is into the bottom, driving it down should stir up much of anything.I was just figuring guys are usually concerned when there's dredging or any major work going on before or during the season. I wasn't even thinking about the sound created by driving the pilings but more so the silt that is going to be stirred up.
Given what they said about the noise, I assumed they are being driven in.Are all piling done with the driver or is it also jeted in ?

One would think so , a little late now to do something if it hurting the spawn.Given what they said about the noise, I assumed they are being driven in.
