Saw an article that attached one end of a barrel swivel to a popper.
It had one end of the barrel swivel "opened" then attached and closed. I can't find any barrel swivels that can be opened. Anyone seen any?

There is a heavy barrel swivel mainly used for foofhore fishing that has a pair of arcs that scissor together to close, but I doubt that is what you are referring to. Maybe it was a snap swivel?

From the photo in Saltwater Sportsman(I think) It looked like a regular swivel.

spro makes a barrell swivel with 2 split rings. May not be exactly what you're talking about but it would work.
