does anyone know of a bail less spinning reel that would work for surfcasting that is available and not cost anywhere near a Van Stall

If you are looking to buy a Penn 704, 706 as you stated in your other thread,...buy a bailess kit for around $15.

PennParts.com has the bailless kits in stock. Get a 704z and mod it.

Pennparts ran out of bailess kits. Penn site was selling them 1 per customer and i think they ran out too as of yesterday. I would just go for the 704 and look for a kit. You can get a 704 for 75-100 bucks. The 706/706z have been selling for $175-$200 everywhere. They are going for big bucks.

i just recently purchased an almost mint condition penn 710 green spinnfisher from ebay for 45 buckshope the 710 was a good choice.
