Spent last few weeks learning potential new spots and didnt fish. I wait around channels and follow tow boats through to mark on GPS. Sometimes the best fishing you do is by not fishing. Lots of boats hitting RM bridge with assassins. There is some fish there but it's "Hope for a keeper" there. I chose not to go there... Flounder seem to be picking up & overall this year seems to be starting similar to last year. From Hecksher we will proceed westward to Thumb area. With warm winter a lot of people jumped the bass gun but like you wake up without your alarm clock sometimes bass know when its time to move east and it's not all about temperature. Peruse thru the last 5 years reports and it rarely starts prior to 5/15 with big fish. Schoolies late next week on 3/4 ounce bucktail with white porkrind tail & split the tail for flutter like olives in a martini. I will start reporting next week about the bass and how many I catch. Focus on lures my friends & stick to moving water. Slack means jack. Things will start to move later next week with mostly schoolies and the slobs shortly thereafter. Talk to you soon........... <like href="http://www.noreast.com/postedreports/view.cfm?id=65253" send="false" show_faces="false" width='layout="button_count"'></like> |
