New to the offshore game. I have a Avet LX 2 Speed reel I want to use it on tuna mostly chunking at night (Hudson canyon etc.) Maybe some Tile fishing in the day. Is the reel to small for this with braid and a top shot? What do you think of this reel on tuna?

the lx is fine to use for deep drops for tiles but the drag is a little lacking for chunking at night

Reel

The LX is a nice reel but as stated the drag is light. I also don't think two speeds is a necessity for this type of fishing.Nice to have but not necessary.
