Hi all, I had a great day out on the Miss Montauk with Cap't Jamie at the wheel. It was a good trip out on this nice stable boat and we started fishing almost to the minute when he said we would get there. Cap't started the day on the drift and we I got a nice cod almost imediately. He then tried to anchor, but the fish seemed to want moving bait. After the anchor was pulled, we drifted around all day. He kept getting back up on the schools of fish and it was non-stop for the mates. They did a great job of being there to gaff everyone's fish, fillet them and bag them up for you. I had a great day and around 12:30 caught a big fish...a contender for the pool. Capt Jamie was there with the gaff and put it right in his chin...the fishing was so good...even the Captain had to do some gaff work. Unfortunately...on the last drift...right before the trip home...a bigger cod was caught...ain't it always that way..OH well...I still had a great day and the mates filleted me up two bags of fish. At days end I had 8 cod, 3 sea bass a couple ling and one pollack about 10 - 12 lbs. I hope the pics show good. If you want to have a great trip on a nioce stable boat with a warm comfy cabin...you got to give the Miss Montauk a try. By the way...Cap't Jamie...I missed the 5pm ferry. no matter...I needed the sleep. Thanks.
