Went to beach on 4/25 to check out the wild surf. It was up to the dunes, wow! Saw a dorsal fin in the water a few feet away, never jumped so high. When I found my heart I looked again. It was a 15' basking shark, wrapped in a gill net. Looked like a maneater in that surf though. Species and size verified 4/28 @ West End Bait and Tackle, a guy found it in the rocks and took the dorsal fin.

Fished Atl. Beach 4/28 w/ clams, end of outgoing, begin of incoming, for nada. Will keep trying. Water may still be a bit cool here.
