Hey guys,
I have a 2006 330i BMW right now and my lease is up in April. I am looking to get into the new 3 series coupe but the price is friggin insane. It is actually cheaper for me to get a 528i instead of the 335i coupe that I want. what do you think should I go for it or get a different type of car? I really do love my BMW. Does anyone know any salesman that can give me a better deal on a 335i?
I have a problem with the over milage on my lease and it is stopping me from getting out of this car now, before I put more mileage on it!

The Twin-Turbo 335i?

You must have a great insurance agent, lol. You can't add oil to the new BMW, it has no dipstick. The dealer has to drain the crankcase, measure the oil and add what is necessary if the check engine light is the low oil code.

I'd prefer a car with an oil dipstick.

LMAO Benny, the last time we heard from you, you were a financially-strapped college punk. Now you're trying to decide between two expensive new cars? I went to school at the wrong time, never heard of financial institution that leases to students...

My wife leased a new SUV, but I drive a 22-year old pikermobile. I hate car payments (although I might as well be making them based on the per-visit costs to my mechanic:rolleyes: )

My wife bought a certified pre-owned BMW in 02. It was a 325i with 10K miles on it. I thought she was out of her mind spending that kind of money. (I buy used American cars.) But the BMW now has over 100K miles on it and here we are 6 years later, and the car has never had one problem. I guess I can't fault a BMW if you are looking for a good car.

Sortie, why jump down his throat ? He's asking a question.

Maybe he graduated college with a good degree, landed a good job and now wants a new car, or maybe he worked through college and leased that car. I went to college working fulltime, maybe he did the same thing. Maybe his previous posts allude to something different, but judging from what I see I don't think its necessary to criticize him.

Now, whether I think its a great idea to be swaping cars every 3 years for the latest and greatest, thats another story. I like to buy Certified per-owned and keep them for a while. To me a car is a means of getting around, safely and in comfort, and with no need for "bling" or to call attention to myself.

If I were you Benny, and I liked the car, I'd try and buy the car back and keep it for a while.

Since young Mr Benny skipped out on the holiday bash, I have never even met the man, so I shouldn't zing him online.

I guess I'm just jealous that new car ownership wasn't even a dream of mine during college (or even the first year out).

Sorry Benny!

Benny, I remember a thread you started a few years ago relating your desire to purchase an Audi S4. I remember telling you that the 4.2L engine (the same engine that was pushing the Audi I owned then) would average 15MPG.
You are one fly college Dude.

if everyone drove one of those we would lessen our dependence on foreign oil BIG TIME

(until then, you're at risk for death/dismemberment if you are hit by anything larger than a Mini-Cooper  )
