These are bolt-on rod holders that clamp to the outside of your current arch-mounted holders and add 2 extra holders to each original:

Rod Holders

I just ordered 2 sets based on the really positive reviews I read on the West Coast Allcoast Boating board.

Disclaimer: I am affiliated in NO WAY with this company - I just think its an ingenious solution to a problem that I always have.

Heck I take 6 rods MYSELF when we ocean fluke fish - 2 each - ultra-lite jiggers, the Calstar GX7's and a pair of heavier rods for the deep - only 6 holders up on the arch so the crew is S.O.L. - these should solve this problem. And not too expensively, considering the alternatives.

Bolt-on Rod Holders - Mounting and Final Report

To complete this thread:

O.K., they went right on. We'll not quite right on, but not too bad at all. The polyethylene mounting grommet that Jeff supplies with the bracket is a little tricky to use with the taper of the holder you are grabbing on to, but once on there, its stable as a rock.

One thing though - I feel they definitely need a top rubber lip to prevent damage to aluminum butt trolling rods and so I went over to Freeport Marine here on Long Island and had them special order me replacement tops from Perko - part #PK00483-P1-99A at $5.99 each - a week or two and those will be here and then I'll be complete. Jeff nicely champhers the top edge of the aluminum, but with the cost of the rods I fish, A little more protection is called for, IMO.

The holders really look super and once you lock them up, I don't see anyway that they can move, either rotationally or up/down.

Well worth what Jeff charges, have to tell him to add the top lips to the holder though.

I give them Lep's "Four pot 'o gold" award for excellence. They get a fifth pot if he adds in the top lip, so you don't have to track them down yourself.
