When out for shark do any of you jig the bottom while out there?If so what are you catching?
Any life on the bottom?

On a more serious note, depends on where you shark fish. Boats I know that drift wrecks get the usual sea bass, cod, ling when they are over structure, others drift fluke. No great shakes, mostly its just to kill time waiting for sharks.
When you could fish bluefins in the Mudhole, we used to bottom fish for live bait, whiting, ling, jig tinker mackerel. Get some wierd hookups, tuna hitting the light mackerel rods, my brother got a blackfish on a diamond jig.
