Currently using the mercruiser aluminum anodes as they recommend. I'm only getting half a season out of them. does that sound right?

Should I switch to zinc ones?

Do you trailer or keep the boat in the water? If its in the water it sounds like your marina has a stray current issue.

lol he means stray electrical current
I know that he meant electrical current, thats why i posted that shore power wasnt being used.

i just wasn't sure if the fast moving water also was contributing to the problem.

Do you mean just not being used on your boat?? Is there shore power there? Are the boats next to you using it? If it's a stray current problem, it can happen even if you are not using the shore power.
